2 tsp Olive Oil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 small Onion, finely diced
1 can (14oz) Petite Diced Tomatoes, partially drained
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp dry Parsley
1/2 tsp dry Basil
1/8 tsp Baking Soda


• Over medium-low heat, sauté garlic and onion in pan for 4 minutes or until onions become translucent.

• Add Tomatoes, Red Pepper, Salt, Parsley, Basil and Baking Soda. Mix well and cover.

• Stirring occasionally, continue cooking for 15 minutes.

• Remove lid. Break up any large chunks with a fork or spoon. Finish cooking, uncovered, for 3 minutes or until sauce thickens.

• Remove from heat and set aside.

• Makes 1 cup of sauce.
