3 tbsp Olive Oil (or Grease from previously fried Meatballs)
1 large Onion, finely chopped
6 medium cloves, Garlic, minced
2 (28 oz) cans Crushed Tomatoes

1/2 cup Water
1 tsp dried Parsley
1 tsp dried Basil
1 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Baking Soda 


• In large stock pot, heat Oil over medium heat.

• Add Onion and sauté for 4 minutes or until translucent.

• Add Garlic. Mix Well. Sauté for 2 minutes.

• Pour in Tomatoes, Water, Parsley, Basil, Salt, Pepper and Baking Soda. Mix well. Reduce to medium-low heat. Cover, bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.

• Toss 2 cups of sauce over 1 pound of cooked pasta. Serve hot.

OPTIONAL: After cooking sauce for 30 minutes, add Mama Mocker's Meatballs. Cover and continue cooking for 1 hour. Remove Meatballs from sauce and serve as a side dish.

• Refrigerate remaining sauce for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 5 months.
